About Clyde

The small and perfectly preserved goldmining town of Clyde is well known for its giant hydro dam, built during NZ's 'Think Big' era. Clyde however has its roots in gold, fruit orchards and as the start (or finish) of the Otago Central Railway.

The town’s reputation has grown thanks to its old-world charm, historic buildings, boutique shops, galleries and cafes. And with world class cycle trails, vineyards, orchards and in every direction, you can ride to your palates desire.
