Local Charity Partners

The GOLDRUSH event has formed a relationship with the three local charity partners. Through doing so, we hope to provide awareness and encourage our entrants to donate to help them continue their good work.
Donations can be made either when entering or through the event shop.

Central Otago Wildling Conifer Control Group

The Central Otago Wildling Conifer Control Group are working hard to remove & prevent the spread of wilding pine trees across the regions landscape. Our focus is for the entire The GOLDRUSH course to one day be wildling conifer free. Donations can be made through the online entry process with all funds raised going towards eradication of wildling conifer trees on and around the event course.

Southern Lakes Trails Trust

The Southern Lakes Trails Trust who are the group responsible for the wonderful Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail and are the driving force behind the construction of the next Central Otago Great Ride - "The Kawarau Gorge Cycle Trail, “from Cromwell through to Gibbson Valley, Queenstown.  Donations can be made through the online entry process with all funds raised going towards the maintenance of the Lake Dunstan Trail (of which a section of the Day 2 off-road run stage uses).

Roxburgh Gorge Trail Charitable Trust

The Roxburgh Goerge Trail Charitable Trust who are the group responsible for the magnificent Roxburgh Gorge Cycle Trail Lake and are the driving force behind the construction of the missing link - the portion of trail between Doctors Point and Shingle Creek.  Donations can be made through the online entry process with all funds raised going towards the maintenance of the Roxburgh Gorge Trail (of which a section of the Day 1 off-road run stage uses).
